Status Report – July 2011

The month is almost over and this is my first full month of actively working at blogging and affiliate marketing. I’ve put in a lot of hours, but have no income to show for it so far. I expected that, so I’m not disappointed. In fact, I won’t be surprised if at least the first six months are about the same. This has been a month of steep learning curves, but I’ve survived it and made a lot of progress. I think back to how I began the month, setting up my first WordPress blog and working to customize it to my liking. What was confusing and very difficult every step of the way only one month ago, now is not. Yeah! Of course, I’ve moved on to new tasks which are equally difficult and confusing, but will they still be so in another month? No. It’s something I like to remind myself when the going gets hard. This month: My first WordPress blog has been set up and customized. 22 posts and 27 pages. My first tweet ever, sent. Learning received along the way . . . priceless. :-)
