About The Author of The Third Road

Hi. My name is Amelia Brockman. For 15 years I’ve been a married, stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, but that’s all changing. Without going into too much personal detail, let me just say I know I need to regain my independence and make my own way.

I need to support myself — something I haven’t done in a very long time. I’ll be honest, there are times when the thought of getting out there again scares me and I don’t want to do it. I wish I could just return things to the way they used to be. But I can’t and this is something I’ve got to tackle head on.

My goal is to be successfully self-employed, working from home and I’m going to blog about my entire journey getting there.

My best learning has always come when I am teaching others, so I begin this blog today for the purpose of creating a place where I can talk about my desire to work from home, my plans as I begin, and my journey over the next year as I make it happen. I will be investigating my options, and researching the pros and cons of several different ideas which I have in mind. As I write and explain things to you, the reader, I am also creating the best learning environment for myself to learn as well. See how well that works for all of us?

I’m 48 years old . . . beginning the next leg of my journey. I call it “the third road”.  . . leading me, I believe to a place of peace, happiness, and success. Come along with me and learn as I learn.
